I want my skin to be paler. is it dangerous to use skin lightening products for black skin??
after all that has been said and done, i hope i can enlighten you this time..

it is ONLY dangerous to use skin lightening products IF they contain hydroquinone, mercury or steroids.. hydroquinone can cause skin cancer, mercury poisons the bloodstream and steroids cause stretch marks.. for black skin, you can get shades lighter, depending on your skin sensitivity and condition..

skin lightening has the SAME objective as skin tanning - better self esteem, perhaps a better job, or to correct skin problems.. michael jackson probably started with this goal, but ended up with vanity problems and he overdid it.. i'm sure you're far from his wants and needs..

now here's a good source for safer and more potent skin lightening bleaching whitening products.. african americans have already bought from this site -

Reply:Ask michael Jackson...yeah
Reply:I would think it isnt good. I mean your putting a chemical on your body thats not ment to be there otherwise it would have been.

Just look at what happened to Michael Jackson!
Reply:Think about Michael Jackson.

I think you might change your mind.

I would assume that it is probably dangerous to use skin lightening products! Be happy with your own skin!
Reply:Can we please swap skin? I am so pale I look dead - I long for dark skin! Wouldn't you be afraid that it would go patchy? That's why I don't 'do' fake tans!
Reply:Unless you want to be paper white, no.
Reply:Ok, this is Q is different. More pale? Do the opposite of Al Jolson and use white paint. If you don't know who Al Jolson is then take the time to look it up and work on your brains instead.
Reply:ask wacko jacko lol no offense
Reply:Well, I don't think so. I was using an acne medication that also bleached the skin to rid scars left from acne and when my skin was clear my skin color began to lighten in patches. It began on my cheeks. So i looked like i had lighter skin circles on my face. My skin color went back to normal when I went in the sun for a bit but I think if you use a bleaching product then your skin might not lighten evenly which would be very embarrassing. Hope this helps.
Reply:I had tried a cream lightener brand Palmer's. It came in a small jar. I wanted to lighten a dark area. The results were terrible I had some sort of allergic reaction. The area was practically raw. Last time I try that. In my rush for it to work, I put it on daily especially after a night shower and getting ready for bed. I don't remember how many times I used it before the area got all red and flaky. It hurt. I thought I was going to have a scar for life. I applied Sarna lotion on it until it went back to how it was before the lightener.
Reply:It is dangerous in that you are putting a foreign ingredient on your skin and letting it soak into your blood stream, causing who knows what kind of allergic reaction or in some people, worse! Not to keep harping on the subject, but yea, look at Michael Jackson. Supposedly he did it for "medical reasons". It sounds like you are doing it for outward appearances. When I say this please believe, you are a beautiful person the way you are. Accept yourself the way you are. Don't do something that will be a possible mistake and ruin your body forever.
Reply:I think the better way would be to just avoid the sun maybe(?). Using lightening/bleaching products can be harmful to the skin.

But don't forget to get at least 10 mins. of sun exposure (this wouldn't really be enough to get a slight tan anyway) 'cause Vitamin D is important ... and it's better for your mood.

Reply:There are a few natural remedies:

The best remedy is to put AT NIGHT lemon juice on your skin, but WASH IT OFF in the morning (don't do this on your face!), otherwise, you will have horrible marks/stains on your skin. Yogurt also works fine, and if you mix it with lemon, it works even better (leave it on as much as you can). You should exfoliate once a week, so you can see better results. Mix sugar and lemon juice to make a paste, and exfoliate your body with it. Always wear sunscreen when you go out and take a vitamin C supplement. Some people say that applying olive oil before you go to bed lightens the skin tone.

You have to be realistic, you won't get any lighter than the color of your inner arm or your belly. Don't buy any of those lightening/bleaching creams, they harm your skin badly.
Reply:yes will give you cancer.
