Why most girls in Indonesia likes a white and lighten skin?

In my country, Indonesia, we are thinking that a beautiful skin is a white and lighten skin. So many girls trying to make their skin looks pretty white. They are using so many kind a whitening product. Sometimes they dont know the ingredient of the whitening and lightening product. If the product using a dangerous material like a mercury or anything else, its make their skin burn. So would you like give me some advice to solve this problem? do you thing that a white skin is the most beautiful skin? Thanx

Strangely enough many white people sunbathe in order to make their skin darker. Nowadays there are sun tan shops where you can get an artificial tan or creams to give you a fake tan.





Perhaps people in different cultures aspire to what they see as a certain beauty which is difficult to achieve naturally.
Reply:A lot of people in the US with fair skin try to make their skin darker. The tanning business is a multimillion dollar industry.





Sometimes people just aren't satified with what they're born with.
Reply:I think olive or tanned skin is very nice, and on some people whiite skin can look very nice..
Reply:I'm an Asian so I know how it feel. It kinda weird because white people are like desperate to have a tan skin and Asian are like doing everything to get a light or white skin. I think it is a part of culture and the way that country people taste of beauty.
