Mixture of milk and lemon for lightening skin?
Home remedies will never work as well as store bought. The acid in lemon juice is abrasive and will dry and irritate your skin. The reason lemon juice removed her tan is because it stripped the skin causing it to dry up and flake off.It wont lighten the skin beyond its natural color.Lightening with vitamin c is very gradual and minimal.

If you really want to get lighter, brighter skin use Dr.Varons bleaching system.Ive been using it for about a year. Not only has it lightened my skin and scars,I never have blemishes anymore. And no you wont look like michael Jackson, lol.

Reply:yes i think it works especially lemon coz its also used to remove stains in clothes. just avoid areas where there are pimples or skin breakage coz it will really hurt.
Reply:It always amazes me how Eastern and Asian women want to lighten/whiten their skin and Western ones darken theirs. In China there are whitening creams available, but you end up looking like Michael Jackson-YUK!.
Reply:They both work a little, but using lemon juice alone works as well.

I once effectively removed a tan within a couple day by washing my skin with lemon juice, then coating it with egg whites and leaving them till dry, then scrubbing them off and then mixing milk and powdered milk together and letting that sit on my skin till dry. Tan went away real fast but it was a real hassle and then for some reason the second time I tried the trick it didn't work, so I don't know what was up with that.

Diluting vinegar with 1/3 to 1/2 water or, if you want to be fancy, rosewater will work as well as lemon juice and not be anywhere near as sticky.
Reply:Oh, if you want to lighten skin, try yogurt with lemon, it works quite nicely, here is the yogurt recipe and its functions:

And, if you insisted on using milk, remember to use the skimmed milk, otherwise it will be too rich and cause pimples!
