Lightening eczema's skin discolouration?

Is it possible to reverse the skin discolouration caused by eczema? The back of my knees are a very dark shade, nearly black, and I haven't worn any pants above knee length for a very long time.

My dd has severe eczema and skin discoloration, the best thing we have found is just a light shade of cover up. The problem with this is that you have to watch what your skin will tolerate. Some brands burned or stung so it was really trial and error. Cover girl worked for us. But it is only a temporary fix for a short time. Her Dr. Says that there are laser treatments but they are extremely costly and since it is considered "Cosmetic" alot of insurance will not cover the cost. What about Panty hose? They sell the kind with no feet in them if you live in a warm climate. Best of luck to you, I know what you are going thru. One other thing we have done, and depending on where you are going etc... is to just wrap your knees with cotton wrap. We do that with her knee and no one says anything, they just think she got hurt.
Reply:You can use either a bleaching or fading cream to help with the discoloration. It may take a couple of months before you see the difference. You can find some great creams in the store or online at MDForte which is an excellent company. I have used their bleaching cream and it does work.
