Sometime around five or six years ago, my nose started getting a little red, then my cheeks and chin, and finally now I look like I'm constantly drunk with my bright red nose and nearly as red cheeks. For the past month or so I've been taking one grape seed extract capsule every day and using ProActiv (because I'm also blessed with acne on my chin, at 22 years old, yay), and it's made a slight dent in the hyperpigmentation, but not much.
I know about diet changes and all that, but my problem isn't the come-and-go kind of rosacea, but the kind that's actually permanently discolored my face. I've seen in different places where people have used that skin lightening cream, and I'm considering trying it despite my immediate reservations about it. Has anyone here tried it before? How did it work? Did it just irritate your skin even more, and did it actually accomplish anything? Is it safe?
Skin whitening for rosacea?
I have the exact same thing and hate it so much. I am trying to find something to make my cheeks less noticable. I starred this so I could see if anyone suggests anything that might work. Its really lowering my self confidence.
Reply:I would not recommend skin whitening creams, they are dangerous and harmful to the skin.
