I'm very dark skinned (black), is there any product that will lighten my skin a few shades, but not white!!

Im African American and my shade of brown is very very dark, but the rest of my body is a lighter shade, I just want to lighten my face to match the rest of my body. Is only one or 2 shades. Ive only found skin "whitening" cream, not lightening.

Try a skin bleaching cream. any pharmacist can help you with choosing one. just be careful. In the past, some of these creams contained cancer-causing agents, but I believe these creams have been changed or removed from the shelves.





However, rather than lightening your skin this way, I would recommend a series of microdermabrasion sessions at a cosmetic clinic/spa. In additon to exfoliation, microdermabrasion would benefit your skin in other ways as well, including reducing pore size and evening skin tone.





In addition to microderm, try a product called Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. It helps with exfoliation, but also helps brighten skin and even skin tone.





I always think that skin bleaching creams should be used as a last resort. I recommend microdermabrasion first.

the rest of your body is "lighter" because you dont walk around naked in the sunlight. your face is exposed. theres no safe "lightening" cream hahaha please give it up. this is an epidemic in africa and some carribean islands. white companies are selling these creams to women and the outcome is never good.

Reply:nadinola its a bleaching cream but its good for your skin and its not over bleach its good and it also evens out your skin color
Reply:esoterica...it's a skin lightener for dark spots and such...it's about $8 anywhere...I got mine at K-mart.

Reply:Find a good dermatologist, they can probably help you even out your skin tone. Don't use over the counter stuff, it can be way too harsh.





I have completely the opposite problem...my skin is so pasty white that my veins show up like ugly blue road maps all over. I don't tan, just burn and peel (and freckle), and self tanning creams don't seem to work. Nothing I can do to get darker except those paint on tans, and I've been afraid to try that, LOL. How I wish I could trade you sometimes!

Reply:if you want a homemade recipie for that,what u can do is that u can get some lemon jucie and milk, mix and apply it together, i did that and it lightned my skin.(it is sort of disgusting but it is worth it)
