Aloe vera lightens skin?

If so which kind of aloe vera, any? Also how long does it take to see lightening effects?

Aloe vera lightens skin?
it does not lighten skin! where did ya hear that? haha thats funny.........
Reply:Aloe Vera is a moisturizer, not a lightener. It is a light moisturizer, which could be where someone got confused. My sister and I use it after shaving, and she still has dark skin. (I'm just never in the sun, so I wouldn't see a difference either way.)
Reply:I never heard that before. Its mainly used to heal burns, rashes, scrapes etc....check out this site for more info.

Reply:Aloe Vera is a healer and moisturizer. it wont lighten your skin BUT it will lighten your hair. I had a friend who would put it in her hair before the beach and after a week she had "highlights". It was aloe straight from the plant.
Reply:nope...however, it's very effective as a moisturizer. ive been using aloe vera skin moisturizer from The Body Shop and i love, love it. i live in las vegas and the weather here is so drying for the skin but i dnt care anymore since iv found my moisturizer for life!!!!
Reply:I dont think it lightens skin, but I use it for my razor bums and scars and lightens up my scars from shaving. it takes a while but using it all the time helps
Reply:It doesn't lighten skin.

You'll only get lighter skin if you get a disease
