Can lime really lighten your skin?

If so then how do you go about using it? Do you rub it on the area you want lightened? What about lemons, I know if you put them on your hair it can lighten it but what about your skin? It would be good if anyone could give me any advice, thanks.

Can lime really lighten your skin?
My mother used to use glycerine and lemon juice to lighten dark elbows and knees. I think it works!

As for hair, I honestly don't know personally, although I've read that it does.
Reply:I was told to use lemon on elbows and knees to lighten/soften the skin and I thought it worked. I have also heard you can use it on hair to lighten it and get yourself in the sun, but never tried it.

Reply:Probs not citrus is really acidic it'll affect the ph levels in your skin. Its good if you've stuffed up a fake tan and your orange it works wonders then but dont put it on delicate skin.
Reply:no it doesnt work for lightening even ask ur doctor or dermotologist
